That Dog Gone Ohio Heat!

Never fails, it doesn’t matter how “cool” it may be to some at 83 degrees, but someone with MS such as myself, it might as well be 120 degrees.  Don’t get me wrong, it has been very nice around here lately, the humidity has been lower than normal, and the temperatures even lower.  For me though, it doesn’t take much.A couple things I use to help this issue are my frog togs.  I like putting them in the fridge in a ziplock back overnight.  By morning they are like ice packs, but are still flexible.  Also, I bring water bottles that can hold in the cold for more than an hour.  And last but not least, I find the shade every chance I get and I don’t over do it.

What do you do to stay cool on hot days?  Is there a product out there that you love and would recommend. if so let me know, I and my followers would love to know.

Here  is a link to an article I found in Momentum Magazine about heat and MS.  Check it out, it may have some useful information.

Today is a hot one here in OH. Heat is so miserable for people with MS. All heat does to me is make me even more fatigued than I usually am. Fingers crossed, I am hoping that by strengthening my muscles with the JBit I can reduce some of the fatigue, regardless if it is hot or not! In ordered for me to get better results, I need to work with Boost. Boost can be done in my own home. It is meant to work with the JBit. And, a licensed Physical Therapist takes you through the exercises. This requires an annual subscription though. Being unemployed for the last 18 months makes it tough to come up with that kind of money each month. So, I so could use your help. Boost will help me gain endurance, gain muscle strength, and just as important, I would finally be able to go on a bike ride with my daughter Abigail, that is a little longer than the circles we do in the cul de sac. – Feeling Determined!!!!

Thank you Everyone for reading and your support!
